Pros:

• High-speed, advanced 3D printers - Bambu Lab’s 3D printers are the fastest consumer-grade 3D printers on the market, and include advanced features not found on most other machines.
• Above-average print quality and reliability due to several firmware and assistance features such as LIDAR, vibration compensation, AI camera first layer analysis, and fault detection.
• Beginner-friendly, with a focus on minimizing setup hassles.
• Open and clear company communication, with transparency about challenges. They regularly provide updates about known issues and how they are being addressed.

Cons:

• They are a newer 3D printer manufacturer, so they’ve encountered some initial bugs and challenges with ramping up production.
• Limited to Bambu Studio, their proprietary software, for full functionality, especially for their AMS system. We’d prefer to see full support for all features in open-source slicers such as Cura.
• Proprietary parts with no third-party alternatives available. With Bambu being fairly new in the 3D printing space, there’s some natural concern that they may not have staying power in the market, which could be a long-term support concern.
