About the ANET ET5

The Anet ET5 features a sturdy closed 2040 aluminum frame with all metal joint brackets providing stability and robust structure. The dual Z-axis motors and dual Y-axis braces aid in stability. The ET5 includes a Boden-style extruder, automatic bed-leveling, power-off resume, automatic loading and unloading of the filament with a single click, and filament end detection. The ANet ET5 has a smaller circumference, and the filament loader connects to the bezel, giving back over 10 inches of desk space, and possesses a build volume of 300 x 400 mm. A responsive 3.4-inch full-color LCD touchscreen is included. Additional protection is provided by the motherboard, with overload and overheat protection. The pulley design and V-groove profile results in higher precision with less noise. With dual Z-axis rods and double Y-axis transmission belts add additional stability for higher printing precision. Some users experienced motor grinding with taller models, as if the printer was struggling to find the maximum height it could go, even though models were within the designed print area.

Benefits of the ANET ET5

Auto bed leveling - auto bed leveling will ensure your prints have perfect first layers every time and greatly reduce issues with bed adhesion. When using an auto-leveling system, the probe allows better tolerances for slightly warped print beds by measuring and compensating for any inconsistencies. Without this feature, you'll need to adjust the bed level manually using nuts on each corner of the print bed.

Has touch screen - having a touch screen isn't a deal-maker or breaker, but it is a convenient feature that makes it easier to navigate the interface when you are printing files and configuring 3D printing settings.

Easy to assemble - This 3D printer is shipped with most of the parts pre-assembled, and you will only need to attach a few components and connect a couple cables in order to get the machine ready to print.

Generous Build volume - A larger than average build volume means that you will be able to print larger parts without the need to split them into pieces and attach them together, which is especially useful with functional parts. If you have the room for the larger footprint, we definitely recommend going with a larger 3D printer, since you can always print small parts on a larger printer.

Brand Summary: ANET

Anet is a popular choice for hobbyists and beginners seeking affordable entry into the world of 3D printing. Their claim to fame lies in offering some of the most budget-friendly FDM printers on the market. However, this affordability comes with a caveat – Anet printers often require some tinkering and user modifications to achieve good quality prints. While Anet itself offers email support, the real strength lies in the brand's large and active online community. Here, users can find a wealth of troubleshooting guides, printer modifications, and shared knowledge from other enthusiasts. This collaborative environment is invaluable for overcoming challenges and unlocking the full potential of your Anet printer. However, it's important to be realistic about your expectations. Anet printers are ideal for tinkerers and budget-conscious beginners who are comfortable with a steeper learning curve. If user-friendliness, extensive manufacturer support, or a guaranteed out-of-the-box experience are your top priorities, then other brands like Creality might be a better fit. But for those willing to invest time in research and troubleshooting, Anet offers a valuable entry point into the exciting world of 3D printing.
