About the ANET ET5 Pro

The Anet ET5 Pro features print speeds up to 150mm/s with a Bowden extruder, 25-point matrix automatic bed leveling, and a 3.5-inch LCD screen. The Anet ET5 Pro also boasts a high-quality Meanwell power supply, ultra-silent TMC stepper drivers, and nozzle overheating protection. With a large 300 x 400 mm build area, the ET5 Pro can produce huge 3D prints. Build quality is spectacular with aluminum construction, and its heated, insulated glass bed features excellent in-print adhesion with easy after-printing removal. A dual Z-axis, as well as dual motors, provide smooth movements. Despite its budget price tag, the Anet ET5 Pro sports a slew of premium features. Auto leveling streamlines the setup process, while print resume and recovery ensures that you can continue a print job in the event of a power outage. Automatic filament loading and unloading works at the touch of a button. Its modular design lets you assemble the Anet ET5 Pro in as little as 10 minutes. Operation is nearly silent. But print quality is where the ET5 Pro shines. Out of the box, the Anet ET5 produces gorgeous prints with little to no fiddling. It's impressive to the point of competing with printers worth well more than its modest price tag. Unfortunately, the printed assembly instructions leave a bit to be desired, and in CURA, there isn't an Anet ET5 Pro profile, instead there's merely an ET5 configuration.

Benefits of the ANET ET5 Pro

Auto bed leveling - auto bed leveling will ensure your prints have perfect first layers every time and greatly reduce issues with bed adhesion. When using an auto-leveling system, the probe allows better tolerances for slightly warped print beds by measuring and compensating for any inconsistencies. Without this feature, you'll need to adjust the bed level manually using nuts on each corner of the print bed.

Has touch screen - having a touch screen isn't a deal-maker or breaker, but it is a convenient feature that makes it easier to navigate the interface when you are printing files and configuring 3D printing settings.

Easy to assemble - This 3D printer is shipped with most of the parts pre-assembled, and you will only need to attach a few components and connect a couple cables in order to get the machine ready to print.

Generous Build volume - A larger than average build volume means that you will be able to print larger parts without the need to split them into pieces and attach them together, which is especially useful with functional parts. If you have the room for the larger footprint, we definitely recommend going with a larger 3D printer, since you can always print small parts on a larger printer.

Brand Summary: ANET

Anet is a popular choice for hobbyists and beginners seeking affordable entry into the world of 3D printing. Their claim to fame lies in offering some of the most budget-friendly FDM printers on the market. However, this affordability comes with a caveat – Anet printers often require some tinkering and user modifications to achieve good quality prints. While Anet itself offers email support, the real strength lies in the brand's large and active online community. Here, users can find a wealth of troubleshooting guides, printer modifications, and shared knowledge from other enthusiasts. This collaborative environment is invaluable for overcoming challenges and unlocking the full potential of your Anet printer. However, it's important to be realistic about your expectations. Anet printers are ideal for tinkerers and budget-conscious beginners who are comfortable with a steeper learning curve. If user-friendliness, extensive manufacturer support, or a guaranteed out-of-the-box experience are your top priorities, then other brands like Creality might be a better fit. But for those willing to invest time in research and troubleshooting, Anet offers a valuable entry point into the exciting world of 3D printing.
